STUDIO POLICIES

Our studio policies are designed to create a safe, respectful, and positive environment for every dancer and family. Please review these guidelines carefully so we can work together to ensure a smooth, successful year for all students.

  • Class uniform leotard and tights – See Class Uniform Price List below for details.

  • Proper dance shoes – Must match the style of the class, see Class Uniform List below.

  • Hair pulled back – Keep hair out of the student’s face.

  • No jewelry – To avoid loss or distraction, please do not wear jewelry to class.

  • Label belongings – Mark each shoe with the student’s name and label dance bags and water bottles.

Our lobby is for answering questions and supporting families and must remain calm and quiet. We strive to keep it positive and welcoming. If you have a concern, please address it directly with our staff rather than discussing it with others.

  • No food in the dance rooms  – water only.

  • Students waiting for rides must remain inside the studio.

  • Do not interrupt classes in progress.

  • Wait in the lobby or use the back door car loop until classes are called.

If Basehor–Linwood Schools cancel due to snow or weather conditions, evening classes will be canceled. For confirmation, check your email or the studio’s Facebook/Instagram.

Consistent attendance is essential for student progress. Habitual absences, except for illness or special circumstances, are not acceptable. Please also arrive on time; frequent tardiness may result in the need to reschedule.

We hold classes every week unless it is a major holiday, even when Basehor schools are out.

Students may participate in the Winter Show and Spring Recital. Participation is optional, but once a permission slip is signed, we expect the student to perform. Last-minute withdrawals are unfair to classmates, as choreography and line-ups must be reworked.

The studio opens 10 minutes before class and closes 10 minutes after.
Please do not drop off students early without supervision, and pick up promptly.

  • Tuition is due on the first day of each month. We operate month-to-month with no long-term contract.

  • Example: October tuition is due before October 1.

  • If tuition is not received by the 1st, we may assume the student is not re-enrolling and may fill the spot after the 15th.

  • Payments can be mailed, dropped off, or placed in the outdoor drop box. Mailed payments postmarked by the 5th are not considered late.

  • Late payments: A $10 late fee applies after the 5th of the month. Accounts not paid in full that month are considered past due.

  • We may fill the spot after the 15th if tuition remains unpaid.

Automatic payment options are available by credit card or bank withdrawal.

Notify the studio one month in advance to withdraw from class; otherwise, tuition will still be charged for that month. Class sizes are limited, and tuition ensures we can keep programs running.

  • Missed classes may not be refunded but can be made up.

  • Tuition is the same each month regardless of the number of classes (3–5 per month) to balance out over the season.

  • No refunds are given after enrollment.

  • Staff begins drop-off 5 minutes before class and pick-up up to 5 minutes after.

  • Drive to the back of the building and line up; wait for your turn to pull to the door.

  • Students enter/exit vehicles only when escorted by staff.

  • Staff cannot buckle or unbuckle children — please do this before drop-off or after pulling forward at pick-up.

  • Children should sit on the passenger side for safety.

  • Never leave a child unattended in the car loop.

  • Students are always accompanied by staff when walking between vehicles.

Class leotards are worn for weekly classes and the Winter Show in December. These are not sold in stores and must be ordered through our studio. Styles are the same as last year. We can also order required shoes for your convenience.
